Inuyasha is a hanyou (1 part human, 1 part demon) and one of two sons of
the great Dog Demon of the Western Lands, Lord Inutaisho. Inu-Yasha's father is a full demon, as well as his hanyou-hating
brother Sesshomaru. Unlike Sesshomaru, however, Inuyasha and his father possess feelings for humans. Inuyasha develops a feeling
of love for Kagome and his father was in love with Inuyasha's full-human mother. His mother was of very high class, but Inuyasha
was often teased for being a half-demon.

Since his father was a
full-demon, Inuyasha recieved some powers (such as his speed, his jumping ability, strength, quick-healing ability) and recieved
physical characteristics from his father too (such as eye and hair color, his kawaii dog ears, fangs and claws). He is very
strong, but one night out of every month, the full moon, Inuyasha becomes a full Human, loosing his demon-like appearance,
and demon powers. His hair becomes black, his eyes turn brown-violet and his fangs, claws and dog-ears disappear. He is still
very strong, though, for a human. During this time Inuyasha is very vulnerable to other youkai attacks and tries to keep this
'transformation' a secret from other demons and usually isn't seen around then.

Naraku tricks Kikyo and turns her
against Inuyasha by pretending to be Inuyasha and attacking her as she brings the jewel to Inuyasha. Inuyasha then feels
he has been betrayed and steals the jewel and tries to run, but Kikyo attacks him again and shoots an 'enchanted arrow'
into Inuyasha's heart sealing him into a tree. Inuyasha falls into a deep death-like sleep and Kikyo soon dies from all of
her injuries and is cremated with the jewel.
PERSONALITY
Ahh the personality! He has a very
bad-mouth and is really rude to those he doesn't know.
There are even hanyou/youkai he is still rude/mean to after he does know them. He doesn't like to show his emotions at all,
but he does have them. He's very "charge in there and attack" instead of thinking his attack plans out. He's very powerful
though, that's a plus. ^^; Since he wasn't really treated nicely as a young half-demon, (humans feared him and youkai made
fun of him for his half-human blood), he doesn't really trust anybody that easily. He did love Kikyo, and he is now in love
with Kagome, so he's very confused with his love-situation, so it looks like he's playing both girls at that same time. He
cares so much for Kagome as the series develops, that he becomes pouty and sulky when she returns to her time periodically
and becomes stronger when she is around. Another thing I found interesting is that Inuyasha, although his real age is never
revealed (Ive heard he is 500), has the mindset of a 17-year old. He's obviosly much older since he was sealed to that
tree for fifty years. But obviously youkai do not age as fast, infact I dont think they age past 19.
Attacks

- Hijin Ketsusou (Airborne Blade Blood Claw)
- Kaze no Kizu (Wound of the Wind)
- Baku-ryu-ha (Ultimate attack of Tetsusaiga)
- Using the Tetsusaiga's powers when it is transformed.
- InuYasha is also able to run very fast, jump very far/fast (like from tree-top to tree-top) and he has a
whole lot of muscle

I love InuYasha as well as Sesshomaru. I love the attitude.
